More instructions June 16, 2023 Reviewer: Charles Korth from EMMETT, ID United States   The instructions for programming a non smart fob for a gen2 Prius should include how to delete old lost or broken fobs from the key code memory. These are at least 15 year old cars and the probability of having no space for programming a new fob are high, especially if you have purchased the car used and don't have the history of how many fobs have been programmed prior to you getting the car. Just so you know, the process is: 1 Get in the car and unlock all doors. 2 Without pressing the brake, insert and remove the existing (working) fob 5 times, insert a 6th time and leave the fob in. 3 Open and close the driver's door 7 times. 4 Remove the fob. This should cancel all other key fobs that have been programmed and allow you space to add another fob. All without a locksmith or dealer involved. Also, you know that you have too many fobs programmed if the anti theft symbol flashes twice, then three times. Was this review helpful to you?

Fob for old prius April 15, 2021 Reviewer: Eric Johnson from Miami, FL United States   So one of the two keys for the 2006 Prius would start the car but not unlock 5he door remotely. Our Prius didn’t work on proximity, you had to push the buttons to unlock  and put key in slot to start. This site did a great job of explaining which of the two keys ( proximity or plug in ) we would need and how to do the programming ( the chicken dance ) as they said look for key programming Prius on you tube to get a feel for the timing. Once I did that it all worked perfect. Good communication about purchase and expected delivery. Quite satisfied. No complaints at all. Was this review helpful to you?
