The hardest part of the whole operation was opening the old cases; I'm guessing they were sealed shut 9+ years ago. Once I had them open it was merely a matter of transferring the circuit boards to the new cases, and installing new batteries. I tried, but was unable to re-use the original keys -would not fit. So I spent $25 to get the new blanks laser-cut.
