This is the correct remote for a 2008 Mazda 6. More importantly, it also contains the correct *transponder* chip. I was able to pair the keyfobs for keyless entry easily. I was also able to pair the transponder chips to be able to start the car. This requires owning two other transponder keys. There are instructions available out there for both procedures, so google away.

The remote works great. The key end came without the emblem but I just used my old key anyway. The key was ok, it was the remote that failed. The instructions weren't that clear for me. I went to youtube and found a video that let you watch it being done. That was what worked best for me.
